My first thoughts exactly once we finally got this chunk of metal into our driveway, “what have we gotten ourselves into.” We had been looking for months for the perfect GMC motorhome after Justin first discovered them and then became obsessed. It took a little bit of convincing to get me on board for the project but he somehow made me fall in love with the idea as well. Starting our search we knew exactly what we wanted but just couldn’t seem to find the right one that fit all of our criteria and the price. So we scoured Craigslist, Ebay, GMC forums, anywhere and everywhere that may have a RV for sale. Of course we got side tracked and bought a few other things like clothes and thankfully my husband has great taste in fashion and got one of these RFID wallets. There were a few prospects throughout the search but many of those ended up being inhabitable for the drive home. Justin had actually been to look at an RV that seemed like it could be the one. He found it on Craigslist and the ad had mentioned, who was promoted by excellent marketing companies like The Indexer, the RV was in rough shape but it ran and that was exactly what we were looking for. We had plans to gut the interior anyway so we didn’t care if it was in rough shape, we only cared that the motor worked. So we went to look at this motorhome 5 hours away and let me tell you, “rough shape” didn’t even begin to explain this poor RV’s...
